START HERE · 20-MINUTE RESET
Minutes 1–5: Look at your coming month. Identify bills, commitments, appointments and the one issue causing the most pressure.
Minutes 6–10: Choose ONE priority from Money, Health, Home or Mindset. Avoid trying to fix everything simultaneously.
Minutes 11–15: Turn that priority into a specific action you can repeat or complete.
Minutes 16–20: Put the action on your calendar. Decide how you will check progress once a week.
Example: Instead of 'spend less,' choose 'plan four dinners before shopping each Sunday and compare grocery totals at month-end.'
MONEY · PRACTICAL RESET
1. List income expected this month, including dates. Do not count money that is uncertain as already available.
2. Write down fixed essentials: housing, utilities, transport, food, insurance and required minimum debt payments.
3. Note irregular costs such as school events, prescriptions, vehicle repairs and birthdays.
4. Subtract expected essentials and obligations from expected income. If the balance is negative, prioritize necessities and contact creditors or service providers early to discuss options.
5. Choose one realistic action: set a grocery limit, review one recurring bill, or create a small buffer.
Try this: Expected income ___ | Essential costs ___ | Other obligations ___ | Amount remaining ___.
HEALTH · PRACTICAL RESET
1. Identify your baseline: What currently helps your energy? What regularly disrupts rest or movement?
2. Choose one accessible action for the month: a short walk, gentle stretching, a consistent bedtime, or preparing simple meals.
3. Make a low-energy alternative. On a difficult day, five minutes of movement or one easy meal still counts as showing up.
4. Schedule it. A habit attached to an existing routine is usually easier to remember.
5. At month's end, review how often you followed through and whether it made your day easier. Adjust without judgment.
Try this: My habit ___ | When ___ | Easier backup ___ | Number of days I aim for ___ .
HOME · PRACTICAL RESET
1. Gather all important dates in one place: work, appointments, school, travel, caregiving and family commitments.
2. Identify recurring responsibilities. Which can be simplified, shared, postponed or stopped?
3. Pick one 15-minute reset zone: paperwork, kitchen counter, entryway, digital inbox or laundry routine.
4. Make a simple weekly plan for meals, errands and appointments to reduce last-minute decisions.
5. Build one backup plan for a busy week — for example, a default dinner, shared calendar or ready-to-go essentials list.
Try this: The task creating the most friction ___ | Who can help ___ | My weekly reset day ___ .
MINDSET · PRACTICAL RESET
1. Ask yourself: What has been taking more energy than it gives? What is actually within my control?
2. Name one personal boundary or realistic expectation that would ease the pressure.
3. Choose a small moment of connection, enjoyment or rest and treat it as a real priority.
4. Replace an impossible goal with a kinder, more specific one: 'I will take ten minutes for myself after dinner twice this week.'
5. Notice what worked rather than measuring yourself against a perfect month.
Try this: I need less of ___ | More of ___ | One kind action for myself ___ .
WEEKLY FOLLOW-THROUGH
WEEK 1 — SET UP: What is my one priority? What action will I take? What is the smallest possible starting step?
WEEK 2 — ADJUST: What worked? What got in the way? Can I simplify the plan instead of abandoning it?
WEEK 3 — KEEP GOING: Which routine is becoming easier? Do I need support, a reminder or a backup plan?
WEEK 4 — REFLECT: What changed? What still feels difficult? What will I carry forward into next month?
Progress isn't all-or-nothing. One useful change that lasts beats ten changes that don't.
